Michael Sage

Brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of high performance swimming to the Kawana Aquatic Centre. A regular coach on Australian Youth Teams since 2008, he was selected on his first senior team for World Championships 2015 before being selected to his first Olympic Team for Rio de Janeiro, 2016. Michael has a proven record of building successful Programs, taking his previous program to 3rd at Age Nationals in 2013.

Craig Harkiss

Craig Harkiss

Is a silver Licence Coach as well as having completed his Bachelor of Laws. Originally from Brisbane, he spent 3 years in Adelaide as a Head Coach building a competitive National Age program before joining Kawana in July 2015. Craig has been a regular coach on state teams in both South Australia and Queensland. He brings extensive knowledge, invaluable experience and an enthusiasm for getting the best out of each of his swimmers.

Marie Hasemann

Marie Hasemann

Began coaching in 1997 under Ken Wood and John Dempsey at Redcliff Leagues Lawnton. She has been a Silver Licence Coach since 2012. With over 20 years’ experience, Marie is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching young swimmers the swimming and life skills that are required to be successful at the highest level.

Kim Rigby

Kim Rigby

(Development, Target and Junior Target Squad Coach)

Kim Rigby brings extensive knowledge to the Mini squads (comprised of the Development, Target and Junior Target squads) having been involved with infant and general Learn to Swim (LTS) programs since 1992. Kim has also competed at National and International levels in swimming. Kim promotes confidence, leadership and excellent stroke and skill development to the kids in her programs.

As the coach of the Mini squads, her main focus is to continue the development of the basics of swimming with the gradual introduction and progression for the swimmers in the squads to aspects of competitive swimming.

Kim is the head LTS teacher at the aquatics centre and holds a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) degree as well as specialisations in teaching swimmers with a disability. She is a qualified Silver level coach.

Ryan Zeller

Ryan Zeller

(Assistant Coach to Junior Target and Target)

Ryan is a qualified Austswim Instuctor and coach.Ryan has competed at the Australian Age Championships annd Shool National Championships.He brings his knowledge and enthusiasm to the Mini Squads.
